After a five-year long hiatus, indie pop-rock band The Hush Sound continues their comeback tour in San Francisco’s Social Hall on June 2nd.

Since their last album release Goodbye Blues (2008), band members Greta Salpeter (vocals, piano) and Bob Morris (vocals, guitar) both became involved in other projects, with Salpeter forming the band Gold Motel and Morris joining the band Debate Team. In 2010-2012, The Hush Sound played a few shows and officially announced the end to their hiatus in 2013, along with the release of a couple new singles, promising more new music in the future.

In an interview with Alternative Press, Salpeter and Morris both commented that they believed their newest album to be the strongest, due to the evolution their song-writing has overcome through their maturation in age and experience. In addition, Salpeter also noted that the new music is “a lot more pop.”

This 2016 leg of their U.S. tour tackles the West Coast, unlike the previous tour which was centered around East Coast and Midwest cities. Besides the band’s performance on June 2nd in San Francisco, the band will make a couple more stops in Northern California with a performance in Orangevale on June 3rd and Santa Cruz on June 4th.
