On Sept. 16, Qrion opened for Ben Böhmer at The Midway SF. In a warehouse-style setting, Qrion’s set had an underground feel, but maintained high production quality and a fantastic set. Her vibe on stage was nonchalant and cool, going along with her synthy yet energetic music.
Qrion is a rapidly growing female DJ, originally from Sapporo, Japan and now based in Austin, Texas and San Francisco. Starting out on SoundCloud, she’s now known on the international levels, even playing at Tomorrowland. She was the perfect selection to open for Ben Böhmer, as her synth and energy matches his. Qrion had the whole room dancing and cheering.
Qrion’s light production was phenomenal, with visuals changing in style and color throughout the entire show. It was clear that she and her light design team work hand-in-hand to design a light experience that matches the feeling of her songs.
Overall, Qrion was phenomenal live, captivating the entire sold-out crowd in The Midway. Make sure to keep an eye for Qrion next time she comes to the Bay!
