Last Friday at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Geographer played a charming set alongside openers Empire and K.Flay. Formed in 2007 by Michael Deni and based in San Francisco, the headliners were extremely well-received by the audience. Deni did what he does best, unabashedly sharing his upbeat synth-pop with Noise Pop 2015 attendees. K.Flay (a.k.a. Kristine Flaherty), one of the openers, also possesses Bay Area roots as a Stanford alumnus. The two acts seemed at home playing to an enthusiastic crowd, lighting up the stage with their talent and energy.
