College-mates Jamie xx and Four Tet spun some exclusive tracks in a back-to-back vinyl set on Sydney’s DBi Radio at the beginning of the month. In addition to several fresh-off-the-press Four Tet collaborations (including a surprise Ellie Goulding remix) and an unreleased track that Jamie xx dropped last year, the two members of London’s Young Turks collective continued their fantastic track record by debuting a new co-authored tune, “Seesaw.” “Seesaw” blends melodic bleeps and a sun-drenched vocal sample with out-of-focus textures, invoking summery memories through its faded, laidback tones. The set was the centerpiece of a longer show, in which the Young Turks staged a “takeover” of the radio station. Also present were Sampha (over the telephone) and Odd Future hip-hop artists Earl Sweatshirt and Domo Genesis. The whole thing can be streamed here.
