Isla Vista–native five pieces, Iration, are set to open up a night of smooth vibes as they take the stage with J Boog & The Movement and Slightly Stoopid at the Greek Theater in Berkeley on Friday. Iration is accompanying the bands on the “Sounds of the Summer 2017” tour in anticipation of their new album, expected to come out later this year via Three Prong Records. The band has been quiet since 2015, with the exception of acoustic remasters of some of their older songs. They recently gave us a taste of their triumphant return, however, with their recent single “Fly With Me,” released last May. The song touches less on the alternative side of the band’s sound that we experience in Hotting Up and embraces some foreign samples and new sounds that they have not incorporated before. This really diversifies their music and gets us excited to see what comes out of the new album. Iration is on the road until the end of the summer. Spice things up and make it out to one of their large spread of events all around the Southwestern US.
