Following his release of XXX in 2011, Detroit-born rapper Danny Brown became an established name in the hip-hop game. With his high-energy beats and quick, clean flow, the musician has developed a reputation for his engaging music and strong personality. Brown’s maturity and readiness to share his struggles through his music — namely, detailing his time growing up in Detroit — has built him an intense following among hip-hop heads.
Brown’s last album, Old, released in 2013 under Fool’s Gold Records to widespread critical acclaim, featured a number of notably diverse collaborations and features. The album included big name rappers, such as A$AP Rocky and Schoolboy Q, as well as pop singer Charli XCX and indie electronic group Purity Ring, among assorted others. Brown will be releasing his third studio album, Atrocity Exhibition, on September 30, and will be performing at Regency Ballroom on October 11 in support of the release.
