If you missed out on Halloween, worry not. There’s still a full lineup of talent coming into San Francisco this weekend.  From big name headliners to funky new power duos, there is definitely something for everyone out there.  This is my Top Five.  Check out my picks for this week and let us know in the comments what shows you’re seeing this almost-Veteran’s Day-weekend.

#1 Sander Van Doorn

Full Lineup: Sander Van Doorn

Price: $33.90

Location: Temple SF

Age: 21+

Tickets

Sander Van Doorn is a standalone powerhouse within the electronic music scene.  He has been djing for over 10 years, has 309 Identity radio episodes under his belt, and his label Doorn Records has been putting out hits all year.  He is an incredibly talented producer and DJ and recently has strung together a series of fantastic collaborations putting out songs like Phoenix, ABC, and most recently Lost featuring Moti.  Last time he was in San Francisco he closed out Crush SF with a bang melding all types of genres together to put on an incredible performance.  This will be the standout big show by far and you will not want to miss it.

#2 Dirty Bird Quarterly

Full Lineup: Justin Martin, Christian Martin, Nick Olivetti, Worthy, J.Phlip, and Special Guest TBA

Price: $15.00 Before 11:00PM. $20 After 12:00PM

Location: The Mezzanine

Age: 21+

Tickets Only Available At Door

The Dirty Bird gang will be taking their talents to the Mezzanine this weekend and will provide all the funk you could ever need.  If you are a deep house fan and also want to see a diverse lineup this is the perfect show for you.  Headliner and San Francisco native Justin Martin will anchor the night, and is bringing along several friends to ensure a successful night out.  If you are looking for a fun crowd and to groove to some real house music the Mezzanine will be the perfect place.

#3 Dubvision

Full Lineup: Dubvision

Price: $17.20

Location: Temple SF

Age: 21+

Tickets

If you are craving progressive/electro house head over to Temple on Saturday to catch Dubvision.  Dubvision caught my attention this year with their single Heart, and their most recent collaboration with Dash Berlin Yesterday is Gone has serious main-stage potential.  Temple seems to have won the weekend outright and if you attend expect to be jumping and bouncing all night.

#4 New World Sound

Full Lineup: New World Sound, Trevor Simpson, and Tigran

Price: $19.82

Location: Ruby Skye

Age: 21+

Tickets

The Australian duo New World Sound will be gracing the decks of Ruby Skye on Friday night.  NWS brings something different to progressive house.  You will completely understand what I mean when you listen to their tracks Flute and Buzz – very high energy tracks whose melodies just make you crack a smile while you’re dancing.  Definitely consider NWS for this weekend especially if you aren’t a Sander fan.

#5 Tuxedo

Full Lineup: Tuxedo, Sweaterfunk DJs, Motionpotion, King Most, and Senior Oz

Price: $24.60

Location: 1015 Folsom

Age: 21+

Tickets

Wrapping up this weekend’s selections is Tuxedo a relatively new combination of Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One.  Both producers have had phenomenal solo careers, and will definitely provide the most diverse set of the weekend.  Tuxedo will be closing out Funk Fest at 1015 Folsom, and will be perfect for anyone looking for something new, fresh, and groovy.

Have fun, stay safe, and check back next week for more picks for the weekend!
