Have you ever heard of The Beatles? I hadn’t either until I googled FIDLAR to conduct research for my upcoming rant on how I got punched in the face at their Pomona show, and this band came up instead.

Anyway, Ringo apparently was the drummer for said “Beatles,” and I guess he was knighted today, March 20, by Prince William.

Let us remember that both John Lennon and David Bowie refused this honor, and Keith Richards was somehow never asked.

Starr told the TMZ of the outside world, BBC, that receiving knighthood, believe it or not, means “a lot.”

“It means recognition for the things we’ve done. I was really pleased to accept this.”

Personally, I’m glad that someone has recognized what this dude has done, because it seems pretty unlikely that anyone would have ever listened to his music…ever…again… had this title not been given to the alleged musician.

Fellow British rocker Johnny Rotten, lead singer of the Sex Pistols and poet behind the 1975 classic “God Save The Queen,” weighed in on these recent happenings:

“Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated?”

Starr…sorry….SIR Starr…refused to comment.
