Lily & Madeleine to arrive, young old souls, in San Francisco

Bandmates and sisters close in age, Lily & Madeleine Jurkiewicz capture a kind of “old soul” quality to their music that is rarely heard these days, especially from artists so young. The connection the two share is no doubt a contributing factor to their success – as Madeleine puts it, “We know what the other is singing about because we’ve lived our whole lives together. We know each other’s experiences.”

The mononymous folk-pop duo is currently on tour promoting their latest album, Fumes, released this past October. A more polished development in their already impressive discography, Fumes features a wider blend of instrumentation than on previous records, while maintaining soulful harmonies in which the duo’s voices are nearly indistinguishable from one another.
