Giraffage returns for a Bay Area takeover

A Cal alum and San Jose local, Giraffage (real name Charlie Yin) has become a well-known producer of both original material and an array of remixes and I’m positive most of us fell in love with his modern take on R. Kelly’s “Ignition” growing up; it provides a new electronic twist that gives the song a jubilant and danceable vibe.

Due to release his No Reason EP, via Fool’s Gold November 18, Giraffage has been on tour with artists such as xxyyxx and Porter Robinson and performed on Memorial Glade at an ASUC SUPERB concert last fall.

If you want to support a fellow Golden Bear or have taken a liking to the artists he’s been on tour with, you won’t regret coming to one of his shows this week at the Hopmonk Tavern (11/5), Leo’s Music Club (11/6), or Brick & Mortar Music Hall (11/7).
