A$AP Mob is making a stop in San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Wednesday, October 25th for their Too Cozy tour.

A$AP Mob is a hip hop collective from Harlem, formed in 2007. They are touring in support of their second studio album Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy, which was released this past August. The group is comprised of sixteen core members, who all notably hold the “A$AP” moniker. Originally founded by members A$AP Yams (RIP), A$AP Bari, and A$AP Illz, the group began immediately adopting other collaborators: A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast, and A$AP Twelvyy. These new members contribute to the inventive mores of playing with beats and lyrics that the group has exemplified since their early EPs, working within the core framework of hip-hop/trap style music.

What makes this collective so unique is the individual creativity the members each bring to the table as rappers, producers, directors, and designers. Members A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky have announced their own artistic endeavors — A$AP Ferg released a solo album in August titled Still Striving, and A$AP Rocky released his fourth collaboration with clothing brand Guess. Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy exudes the group’s inventive ethos as it consists of a few skits, and most tracks feature a lengthy list of other collaborators. A review by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel highlights that the large and diverse group of performers was the best part of the stage performance — the different characters all fighting for their own attention was thrilling, yet during spotlight moments all were complementary to one another during their sold out October 12th show in Milwaukee.
